There are so many people in our lives that we can be thankful for. Sometimes it is nice to write a friend a letter to let them know that you are thankful for them. Here are some verses you could put in your prayer journal to help you give thanks to God. There are other verses that would be perfect in a thank you card to show your gratitude for your friends and family.

The truth is that it is easy to be thankful in the ‘good times’ but it is harder in the hard times. Sometimes everything looks dark. Everything seems to be going wrong and it can be hard to find anything positive in that particular situation. If this is where you find yourself now, can I encourage you to take heart?
One of the most beautiful things about trusting God in hard times is that you realise how close God really is. When no one else seems to understand, God is there. When you’re alone, crying on the bathroom floor, God is there. Here are some verses which will show you the faithfulness of God in hard times. No matter what your circumstances are, you will come to learn of God’s goodness and be thankful for his ever-present help in times of trouble.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
